As a Director of Heritage at Urbis, I lead the Perth team who offer a full suite of heritage advisory services, including architecture, archaeology, cultural heritage services, museum studies, and heritage interpretation. I have over 17 years of experience in heritage management in both WA and the UK, and I hold memberships in the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, Australian Institute of Architects and ICOMOS.My core competencies are project leadership, heritage interpretation, stakeholder engagement, adaptive re-use and building conservation. I specialise in balancing the history and significance of a place with its ongoing viability and function to create vibrant places. My mission is to manage change in order to achieve the best heritage outcomes for our cities and communities. I have been involved in some of WA’s most significant heritage projects, such as WA Museum Boola Bardip, East Perth Power Station, and the Causeway Bridges project. I am also a trusted advisor to local and state governments, as well as major institutions.
