Served as President of the Board of Directors of the Saul Mirowitz Day School-Reform Jewish Academy during its pivotal early years (June 2005 thru August 2008) and was reactivated from 2011-2013 as a member of the team that negotiated and implemented the successful merger of Mirowitz with the Solomon Schechter School to form the new "Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School."Assembled and led a team of volunteers and professionals that successfully overcame the financial, marketing, operational and other challenges faced by a new organization as it grew from 9 students to more than 100.Key accomplishments included achieving ISACS accreditation, creating and filling positions for admissions and development professionals, and securing more than $2,000,000 in donations. Responsible for hiring, training and maintenance of staff, implementation of merchandising plans, achievement of sales and profit goals.Heavily involved in new store design, construction & openings.
