President of XTREME technologies GmbH after its merger with Philips Extreme UV GmbH. Grew the team from 100 to 250 people. Opened a new site in Alsdorf where a 1000+ m2 cleanroom was built in record time as production, test, and refurbishment site for the new generation of EUV sources. Expanded the R&D team with a full-fledged Operations organization including supply chain, production, engineering, and 24/7 service presence on customer sites.

General Manager of a start-up business creating and producing the very first Extreme UV (13.5 nm) light sources for the newest EUV-based optical lithography scanners of companies like ASML, Nikon, and Canon. Extremely high-tech light sources worth several million euros each.

Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Nederland

General manager of the department designing and delivering the re-usable high-end building blocks (both HW and SW) to build SoC devices with, like embedded processors, connectivity and architectural building blocks.

Managing the complete portfolio of re-usable RISC, DSP, and multimedia processors for embedding in SoC designs of Philips Semiconductors.

Responsible for the development of the CD-ROM, DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, and the very first DVD+RW drives for audio/video and PC application.

Responsible for the development and the technology of the first compact LCD beamers.

Managing the inter-company IC Design Center developing the CD Interactive and first Video CD chip set

Managing the development of "Google-like" search engine technology before the WWW existed.

Responsible for an ISDN-based thin-wire protocol multi-media computer with advanced user interface.

Inventing and applying new graphics algorithms and their parallel processing implementation for both 2D (PostScript rendering) and 3D (realistic ray tracing) application. Located in this function in 4 Philips Research labs around the world (US, Germany, The Netherlands).
