I serve as the Access Coordinator with the Afrikan Student Union where I oversee UCLA organizations such as SHAPE to increase the amount of African Americans at UCLA by working closely with High schoolers and Middle schoolers.

The UCLA-HHMI Pathways to Success Program is a 4-year, intensive, honors-level program for undergraduate students majoring in the life sciences, with an interest in the artificial intelligence and programming. We are committed to the academic success and professional development of highly motivated students, from diverse backgrounds, who intend to pursue a career in the life sciences.

Through my position as Chief of Staff of the College & Readiness program (CCR), I manage 20 students with 5 departments that do distinctly different work: Research & Data, Communication, Diversity & Inclusion, Strategic Initiatives, and the Financial department. College & Career Readiness is a program dedicated to facilitating equitable access to essential information, ensuring all students have equal opportunities to compete for places in the greatest academic institutions using digital assets. I went through an extensive process to recruit a selection of a diverse team under multiple roles that comply with students with different knowledge, skills, ethnicity, gender, and age built to collectively create solutions to the educational disparities caused by our socio-cultural environment on campus. Using my vision and rationale, I formulated a multitude of campaigns that collectively instilled efforts to resolve several problems within our school system using $7,000 raised to fund the campaigns. I launched a learning management system with various courses, including formative and summative assessments. I managed the development of our own iOS app to disseminate our digital resources on a new platform. I have also launched numerous initiatives, including Courageous Conversations to supplement and progress the socio-economic culture of my campus. Through presentations that I demonstrated to the administrative staff and student body on campus, I addressed the socio-economic, culture and academic achievement gap between several groups of students, by educating staff on imposter syndrome and its impact on communities of color. As I worked to resolve the presence of imposter syndrome that affected my school, My goal is to impact communities of color on a much larger scale.

The Experience Berkeley Program for High School Students (EBHS) is a free 10-month program that provides Black, Latinx, & Native American rising high school seniors with mentors, tools, and resources to complete a competitive UC college application and the opportunity to get a close, personal look at UC Berkeley.
