In this role I was responsible for the planning and timely delivery of:- new releases of software development (both internal and external).- operational reporting using crystal reports and SoftShip's proprietary solutions- BI using Microsoft AnalysisAside from the support, under my supervision we also extended inhouse software developments based on Microsoft .Net framework to support business needs not included in SoftShip. This, amongst others, included:- the track and trace module on the website- the sailing schedule module, which consist of both the outward facing schedule as can be found on the website, and the maintenance module where users can adjust sailing data as registered in the ERP to be dispplayed as desired- the voyage finder (port to port) module - a module which allows NileDutch offices worldwide to register portcall related data and broadcast this data to customers via e-mail & SMS

At "Automatic Loevenstein" (a subsidiary of the autobar federation) who produced vending machine cups using a process of extrusion thermoforming. To collect process data, I designed different OMR (Optical mark reader) forms, these are paper forms in which the operators could indicate all kinds of process related data, by blacking a checkbox. Process data to be filled out included number of cups created, raw materials used, downtime and reason for this downtime etc. Using an optical mark reader the data was scanned from the OMR form and saved into a textfile. The text file's data was interfaced into an MS-Access database. Within Access the foreman could correct data, after which this data was aggregated and used to create management reports.
