Implemented actions in coordination with the Production department that improved the quality metrics of the plant (reduced in-process and customer PPM, reduced scrap, trained production operator groups on Six Sigma initiative).

Supported plant’s quality metrics by working with suppliers to improve their PPM. Responsible for incoming quality area, led weekly meetings to request corrective action plans and monitor their implementation. Conducted in-plant supplier visits. Supported Sourcing department to test and certify new suppliers and materials.

Led and implemented different projects that improved customer and process PPM and reduced scrap. Main projects: 1) Approved new magnet wire supplier that reduced in-process PPM by 30%. 2) Led Six-Sigma Quality Initiative: installed 9 stations throughout the process to statistically monitor and control process variation. With this project we improved all the quality metrics of the plant by up to 35%.

Developed, maintained, and improved the quality system of the plant. Supervised Quality Specialist and auditors. Updated quality instructions and procedures. Supported ISO-9000 audits. Performed GR&Rs on new gages. Led quality meeting and worked with the different departments to solve issues that impacted CTQs.
