In the Waste Energy Environmental Impact (WEEI) unit within the Sustainability Area, I specialize in R&D projects focusing on waste pyrolysis and gasification, including heterogeneous catalysis. Working with various waste types enables me to provide comprehensive insights into sustainable waste management solutions. Contributing to circular economy principles, emphasizing the valorization of recovered materials and establishing symbiotic value chains between manufacturers and the waste management industry.

Providing research advice for the strategic development of technical programs in solid waste management, focusing on circular economy. Including the use of recovered material by integrating value-chains between manufacturers and the waste management industry under the circular economy approach.

To assess the suitability of manuscripts for submission to peer review processes in academic journals, ensuring compliance with journal requirements and promptly resolving issues with authors where necessary.

The internship focus was on performing micro-pyrolysis experiments in a tandem micro-reactor (py-GC-MS) equipment, including sample preparation, ex-situ and in-situ catalysts setting and chromatograms analysis.The internship was under the supervision of prof. dr. ir. Frederik Ronsse. In the Thermochemical Conversion of Biomass research group at the Department of Green Chemistry and Technology.
