Recognized leader in clinical research living at the intersection between cultural innovation and emerging technologies.As a creative builder and change agent, my mission is to promote a human centered healthcare system built on empathy and radical collaboration: where patients are integral contributors to the collective efforts aimed at advancing the understanding and cure of diseases and are empowered to be active participants in their own care.Over the past 13 years, across multiple organizations, including Harvard Clinical Research Institute, Science 37 and monARC Bionetworks, I have led a multitude of patient centric projects spanning from patient-powered trial design, patient recruitment and engagement for virtual/remote clinical trials, patient community development, growth and engagement through co-creation with peers. What I have learned is that when patients are included in designing solutions and when we provide them with the right tools, their experience is better and the outcomes are optimal for all.I serve as an advisor to pharmaceutical companies, non-profit organizations, healthcare innovation accelerators and start-ups for topics related to effective patient engagement in clinical trials and co-creation with patients. Currently, I am an advisory board member for Greater Gift; Scale Health and the co-Chair for the Stanford Medicine X Scientific Advisory Council.In my day as a basic scientist, I held research fellow positions in the Hematology Departments at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Dana Farber Cancer Institute, studying the molecular mechanisms of death in cancer cells.In my free time I love to hike, read, photograph, enjoy art and spend time with my human and animal friends.
