As a swim instructor, I was able to teach young children, age ranging 3 months to 11 years old, basic water safety skills. I taught my young swimmers a variety of skills starting from being comfortable in the water/placing their faces in the water to swimming laps across the pool. Also, I had engaging conversations with the parents after each lesson to keep them updated and informed on their child’s lesson and progress.

I volunteered consistently with Reading Partners once a week throughout my four years of high school. I served as a tutor to kids ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. I taught them important reading skills and helped them improve their reading comprehension, as this organization provides support for kids who are falling behind their grade level in reading, but can’t get the necessary classroom support.
