Sometimes the best things find you. I have been asked by some of my friends and loved ones to officiate, so this is something I am now opening myself to providing as a service. I will be performing the rites for three ceremonies in 2017, each a bit non-traditional and I enjoy that.

I am a lifelong writer whose path as a hereditary shamanic healer -- like many good things in life -- found me. In every choice we make, we write ourselves. Sometimes stories bind us, others set us free. I take pleasure in helping people live from their essence by mediating with the spirit world to promote wellness, wholeness, and full expression of one's soul. By working with the spiritual fabric of emotional, mental, and physical health, the exploration of what wellness means is deepened, and the felt effects are often likewise significant. I started apprenticing under Myron Eshowsky in April 2013. I am trained in core shamanic practices including soul retrieval, power retrieval, ancestral healing, ritual creation, divination, and depossesion/psychopomp work. I also can work with places, such as healing a space in preparation of buying or selling a home. Customized healing stories with inspirited art is a special service I provide for those seeking sacred object creation. I have spoken at special events, such as journeying for, and reading, a spiritual poem for a wedding, and I am open to doing more. My work also includes teaching shamanic journeying to groups, which I have done through my own business, and for the Driftless Folk School in Viroqua, WI. I offer my services locally in Madison, and I am available for distance healing anywhere.

I am a writer with diverse training in journalism, academic writing, and creative writing. I most recently worked for four years at Isthmus Publishing as a food and features writer, but it is time I change course. I am selective about the stories I tell, but I am open to contributing to works which promote positive and progressive social change, and pieces which speak to the soul.I also offer freelance editing services, a hybridized approach that merges spiritually-derived guidance with my 10+ years of journalism and editorial experience to shape projects with precision and higher vision. My recent editing projects include an Ed.D. dissertation on how an indigenous plant medicine may be an antidote to Western hegemony, and a book by the same author, "The Hard Path: Becoming an Inner Dimensional Man."
