Dr. Marcello Graziano is Associate Professor at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), and a Fellow of the Regional Studies Association. In addition, he holds a courtesy appointment at the Connecticut Center for Economic Analysis (CCEA) at the University of Connecticut. At SCSU, Marcello is currently working on 5 linked research themes: Blue Economy/Growth; Higher Education & Economic Development; Energy Geography & Economic Resilience; Energy Transitions & Employment Trends; and Data-Driven typification models. Marcello received his BSc (Laurea Triennale) in Foreign Trade and Economics in 2007 and his MSc (Laurea Specialistica) in International Economics in 2009 both from the University of Turin He received his PhD in Geography from the University of Connecticut in 2014. Prior to join SCSU, Marcello was a Postdoctoral Researcher at SAMS-University of the Highlands and the Islands, and an Assistant Professor at Central Michigan University. A transdisciplinary researcher, Marcello has worked with diverse stakehodlers and clients for almost a decade. His previous works include collaborations with Boeing Phantom Works, MGM Resorts International, Eversource Energy, the Great Lakes Commission, and the Connecticut Economic Development Corporation.
