leading the team of researchers and engineers at Netflix building the next generation of Machine Learning algorithms used to drive the entire Netflix experience: from enabling storytellers around the world to create unique content that’s enjoyed by our members, to how and what we recommend on the Netflix homepage, personalize the user experience or the way we reach out to our members, or Machine Learning algorithms to optimize our infrastructure & systems.

I lead the Algorithm Engineering team focusing on content promotion and growth at Netflix, a mixed team of researchers and engineers building the next generation of Machine Learning algorithms used to drive the Netflix experience. In particular my team is working on new algorithms impacting three main parts of Netflix:* Finding and building the best audience for newly arriving movies and TV shows among our 100+ million members worldwide, and in particular our expanding slate of original content.* Reaching out to our members about new recommendations in the most effective way, through emails and notifications. We deliver billions of messages per year, and we work on the algorithms that decide what to send, when and to whom.* Growing our product through programmatic advertising. We work on the algorithms that decide what to advertise, to whom, and for how much.

Leading the Search & Recommendations Algorithm Engineering team of researchers and engineers. We use machine learning and other algorithmic techniques to improve search and recommendations on the Netflix product.

Worked on R&D of new search and recommendation algorithms, driving parts of the Netflix homepage, search, and search recommendations.

Leads the development of the Roku OS, focusing on improving the user experience and system performance, optimizing software for new Roku devices to ensure seamless integration and great performance
