As a Senior Software Engineer, I worked mostly on backend development using javascript and node.js on a serverless environment leveraging the full range of AWS managed services like Lambda, DynamoDB and others.- Created and implemented our own proprietary data transformation programming language in javascript which is used to transform terabytes of data daily per customer and that’s easy enough that non-programmers can use.- Idealized and coded the configuration system that drives our data ingestion pipeline, filtering unwanted raw events and routing others to their respective data transformation pipelines.

I served as CTO with the mission of restructuring the engineering department, its methodology, and also redesigning the business MVP for scalability and increased development speed.- Implemented a new SDLC and new development methodology that achieved better prioritization and better alignment with the product team with the outcome of more meaningful and timely deliveries.- Agreed on and determined new engineering best practices like domain driven design, trunk based development and others.- Planned and started a full software re-architecture, moving from non-scalable software to a quarkus-based microservices architecture which allowed fast development, scalability and fault tolerance.

Biometric Recognition company for Games and Gaming Communities. During the period I worked at GamerSafer I was able to rebuild the entire product from the ground up (both backend and frontend). I aimed at creating a new development methodology and a technology that's both scalable, highly available and highly resilient.- Researched and rebuilt the product’s backend completely using node.js, typescript and AWS serverless products like AWS Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB. Applied Clean Architecture principles and TDD. This made the backend immediately scalable and resilient and allowed us to scale to zero, which is very interesting for an early stage startup.- Re-architected the infrastructure using IaC by leveraging AWS Cloud Development Kit and automated deployments and test runs giving engineers the confidence to push to prod as much as possible.- Created a new mobile application from scratch using React Native (focusing on both android and ios) with high unit test coverage and a unique design system project.- Engineered 2 new products, the company’s Discord Bot that allowed Discord servers to authenticate their users using facial recognition and a new tournament management system, both using Elixir and the Phoenix Framework.

We founded the company in January 2012 because we wanted to create software (SaaS) that helped companies be able to focus on their core businesses instead of repetitive activities that didn't add any value to their customers. - Built the product’s MVP from scratch using Ruby on Rails on the backend and a fully responsive frontend using javascript and backbone.js.- Implemented a double entry bookkeeping accounting system that managed all customer’s account balances in Ruby, a very critical system that withstood 8+ years, thousands of customers, millions of transactions and billions of $ flowing through it.- Lead the Operations teams, which included Customer Success, Customer Support, Fraud Prevention, Billing, People, Product and Technology teams, achieving high CSAT (98%) and NPS (70) with 3000+ customers, while delivering new features daily by leveraging agile methodologies (Kanban). - Member of the company Board of Directors along with key investors.- Focal point of the project that turned iugu into a Payments Institution approved and regulated by Brazil’s Central Bank, a multi-year project that spanned a full revamp and documentation of the companies processes.
