Working at a Red Ventures startupAs part of a major cloud migration from GCP to AWS, I worked on defining and establishing AWS account standards for the company, this involved segmenting accounts by Business Unit (BU) and standardizing CIDR blocks to ensure a consistent and secure network structure. Additionally, I set up Terraform for one of the AWS accounts, integrating it with Atlantis to manage the state of the resources effectively.I also led the setup of a Kubernetes cluster using eksctl and managed the Kafka environment in the cluster, improving memory usage and optimizing performance and scalability by switching from EBS to EFS storage. This was accomplished using Kustomize for configuration management. Furthermore, I managed and deployed applications on the K8S cluster using Kustomize, ensuring seamless operations and deployments.In terms of application development, I migrated a key application from Java to Golang, significantly reducing operational costs and minimizing error rates. Additionally, I transitioned some data pipelines from Java + Airflow to Golang + Kafka, using an event stream-oriented approach.

As a software engineer, I was responsible for developing APIs that handled millions of requests per day for Brazil's largest bank, resulting in an increased conversion rate for new customers. I regularly architected and modeled new services and features using cloud services to guarantee availability and scalability while supporting application improvement and bug fixes. My contributions also included developing new CI/CD pipelines and migrating legacy pipelines to this approach. Additionally, I helped manage the migration of Terraform workspace, resulting in increased performance and security.In an Event Sourcing application with Kafka, I developed and maintained new features, solving availability issues while in production with millions of messages per day. I also played a role in developing and applying new infrastructure for the company using Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Kafka, decreasing the time required to deploy new stack setups for new partners. I leveraged serverless technologies to architect new features and mentored software engineers at the assistant level. I also developed internal tools to help other teams' projects and to solve common problems within the company.
