Managerial and technical lead in contract R&D and product development projects in the medical, optics and microsystems group, working for customers from varied industries, including medical devices (active medical implants) and ophthalmology to materials research for luxury goods (watchmaking).

Responsible for acquisition and execution of technical, innovative R&D project for institutional and commercial clients in various industries including aerospace (space-based X-ray telescope optics), food and pharma (optical in-line quality control) and medical trials (SW and UI). Technical and managerial lead for the execution of technical R&D projects, including the development of a new generation of X-ray optics for space-based telescopes and optical inspection for QC in the food industry. Shared PhD position between Leiden University (NL) and the European Synchrotron (ESRF) in Grenoble (F) on the topic of heterogeneous catalysis: Surface X-ray Diffraction of Pt and Pd catalysts and CO oxidation under realistic working conditions. Development of novel experimental tools in the field of physical chemistry and X-ray diffraction under realistic environmental conditions (tools successfully commercialized by Leiden Probe Microscopy).
