While at Pinterest, as a full-stack software engineer, I worked in the observability team, participating in multiple projects, aiming to improve the usability of current tools, development of new functionalities and tackling tech debt.In order to make observability data more easily accessible to engineers during an incident, I worked on an integrated view of metrics, alerts and log data, allowing users to have an overall view of their services health, across multiple pillars of observability, in a concise and customizable manner.In order to attempt to reduce MTTR we used Python to process large amounts of metrics data, in order to automatically detect the root cause of an incident. The process involved in depth analysis of multiple incidents, in order to find flaws in the algorithm and aditional metrics that could improve the efficacy without increasing processing time.As far as tackling tech debt, I assisted in migrating parts of the React codebase to Typescrypt to aid in development reliability and speed, as well as extencive bugfixing taking into account user feedback.
