I've been working with technology since 2003 and I've played a variety of roles: from developer to strategic technical advisor. I can say my main abilities are: good communication, holistic view, team building, mentoring, code quality, architecture definition and facilitation. Some of the initiatives I've been involved are- Agile methodologies implementation: I've played the role of tech lead and developer in a project to the research department of a university. We've improved the work flow by using agile methodologies, which were new to the company. Although the first delivery had been delayed quite a bit, by using good practices like code review, design sessions, daily iterations, we've managed to deliver the next releases within weeks;- Delivery service optimization: I've played the role of code designer and developer in a logistics company. The route configuration used in contract negotiation usually took weeks of multiple people to be ready for use. We've delivered a tool that reduced the time to no more than 15 minutes. Online orders sourcing: I've played the role of developer and tech lead working for a giant apparel retail company in the USA. We've optimized the algorithm that selects the delivery center that would fulfill an online order.. We've managed to save more than US$2MM in delivery costs. - Technology strategy definition in a financial services company: I've played the role of technical strategic advisor and tech anchor, defining technology strategy and guiding the team to achieve the desired quality. A Financial services company in the USA had the goal of renewing the entire IT assets landscape. I've facilitated discussions and designed the future state of their assets in a 2 month engagement. - Technology strategy definition in an airline company: I've worked as developer and tech anchor. We've defined the API strategy for the entire company. We've opened up the possibilities of new revenue streams by exposing business capabilities (like checkin) via API's. - Early MVP launching: in a module of a mobile app, motivating the team and using a smart strategy, we could deliver the module one week before freezing. Turns out that the users had discovered the feature before the announcement, and in that week, we've managed to make more than R$270k in sales.
