About Marcelo Lando
Passionate about working at the forefront of the energy transition and dedicated to helping businesses capture the value of accelerating their transition to a low-carbon economy. I began my career in renewable energy in 2011 at AES Solar (later rebranded as Silver Ridge Power), a joint venture between AES Corporation and private equity group Riverstone. At Silver Ridge, was part of the deal team in all major transactions. These included a strategic sale of Silver Ridge to SunEdison. Prior to this, was also part of the deal team that filed for an IPO at the Toronto Stock Exchange, an exit strategy which was replaced by the sale to SunEdison. In Latin America, I co-founded Eternum Energy and Ledesma Renovables, the latter a JV with Ledesma SAAI, a publicly-listed company in Argentina and a leader in the low-carbon economy.I feel grateful to have worked across key areas in solar energy while living in Washington DC, London, Madrid, and Buenos Aires. This diverse geographical experience helped me develop an understanding of how to create value in diverse market dynamics and regulatory environments. BA in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica Argentina, MSc from the Social & Policy school at the University of Bath in the UK and MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where I was lucky to be awarded with the Alumni merit-based scholarship.
