I have been counseling and representing businesses, investors, universities, and other institutions in connection in a wide range of patent, copyright, trademark and other intellectual property matters since 1988. The patent side of my practice includes patent prosecution, managing international patent portfolios, reexaminations, reissues, as well validity and infringement investigations, opinions, litigation and licensing, mostly in the electrical, mechanical and software fields. My active trademark practice includes clearing and registering trademarks, coordinating international registration programs, policing trademark usage, and resolving disputes involving trademarks, web sites, domain names, copyrights and trade secrets. I have also advised on and handled a large number of transactions involving technology development and transfer, software licensing, and licensing and sale of IP rights.
