  As Community Engagement and Marketing Director, I am responsible for the general oversight and day-to-day operations of the North Carolina Museum of History's (NCMH) community engagement, public relations, customer service, special event and marketing strategies and a team of eight professionals. Our duties include, but are not limited to marketing initiatives, exhibitions, educational programming, public relations, visitor and customer services, group tours, Speaker's Series and special events.This position serves as a liaison between the NCMH and the NCMH Foundation, the North Carolina department of Cultural Resources, the NCMH Associates, NCMH stakeholders and the community at large. It focuses on collaborative public relations and marketing projects or educational programs that involve one or more of the organizations. This position establishes and supervises work assignments of eight full-time positions and two part-time positions and requires collaborative leadership, management, coaching and development of a diverse staff.
