I have been assigned as a Lawyer to the commercial and real estate departments. In addition to the property issues, optimisation of companies’ structure and corporate governance I specialise in drawing up and assessment of commercial contracts, including agency, distribution, supply, delivery, purchase and/or sale of goods and services. On numerous occasions I have participated in legal projects concerning drafting task-specific contracts, financing and loan agreements for either domestic and international commercial entities.I have conducted negotiations on behalf of transnational companies and advised them on contracts for the international supply and delivery of goods within the legal regime of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. With this end in view I have prepared various agreements, memorandums and legal opinions both in English and Polish language versions.I have handled various arbitration proceedings pending before the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw including arbitration concerning a dispute on construction works agreement under the FIDIC provisions and the value of 24 million Euro.In addition, I took part in five due diligence projects supervised by Salans, an international law firm associated with KSP Legal & Tax Advice. The projects were developed by fifteen to twenty five lawyers and concerned cross-border financial arrangements on shares acquisition, development arrangements involving office buildings, shopping centres and industrial properties, as well as a chain merger in a group of companies. The value of the transactions the projects were related to varied from 33 million up to several hundred million Euro.

I assisted in a “transfer of properties project” through chain merger in a group of companies. I was responsible for completion of a motion to the Ministry of Interior and Administration for issuance of a permit to a foreign company for acquisition of properties located in Poland.

I was assigned as a Paralegal to the post-completion team. For four months I had worked successfully with eight other members of the team. My responsibilities were divided between legal-administrative work such as keeping records, lodging applications and dealing with requisitions from HM Land Registry, submitting on-line Stamp Duty Land Taxes and general customer service. Subsequently, I was moved to a team, where with fourteen other associates I principally dealt with re-mortgages conducting the whole process of a re-mortgage: from opening the file, through the substantial stages to completion. In addition I was a part of the litigation team, while I managed various cases under support of the solicitors, including an arbitration proceeding concerning trademark ownership dispute pending before the London Court of International Arbitration.

I was assigned as a trainee to the commercial law department. My job was divided between the activity carried out inside the office and outside at the law courts. As far as the activity carried outside of the office is concerned, I analysed and resolved problems related to company and commercial law issues. Therefore, I have acquired the work methods adopted from my supervisors in similar cases. I was organising issues and documents as well as aiding with drawing up commercial agreements and legal transactions. I have supported and collaborated with the four-member international arbitration group in the dispute of €18-million value.As far as my outside activity goes, I have constantly participated in the ordinary litigation activity in courts and I have assisted at hearings in front of the most important Italian judicial authorities, i.e. the Supreme Court of Cassation, and the Council of State.
