Direct and manage computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. Direct the information and data integrity of the company and its business units. Develop strategic plans and implement the objectives of the information technology needs of the company to ensure the computer capabilities are responsive to the needs of the company's growth and objectives. Develop and establish operating policies and approaches for computing and information technology. Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements. Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment. Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company. Assess new computing technologies to determine potential value for the company. Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements. Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

Interact with company managers on internal and external operations that are impacted by the capture, storage, processing and dissemination of information. Review and approve major contracts for computing and information technology services and equipment. Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment. Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company. Assess new computing technologies to determine potential value for the company. Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements. Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts. Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

Responsible for the Network/Infrastructure units of the technology department, communicating complex concepts in a simple format to senior management, and implementing solutions with a “hands on” approach. Responsible for the performance and reliability of the Connection 2000 product, which supports over 1,000 community banks throughout the United States with backroom operations support. Responsible for overseeing full implementation of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system, improved Storage Area Network (SAN), as well as other Bank strategic projects. One of three individuals leading initiatives pertaining to bank wide technology disaster recovery planning and implementation. Organized the regulatory examination readiness team and ensured technology department was in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Served as chair of the Technology Steering Committee for the Bank to ensure information technology goals are aligned with the company’s. Provided technology direction on all initiatives within the Bank, including, but not limited to, design, automation and implementation of all new Operational projects. Recognized by formal resolution by the Board of Directors in December of 2003 for going above and beyond job duties.
