-Main scope included decommissioning gas compressors which were to be sent onshore for overhaul. I took ownership for the quality delivery, ensuring that all client specifications were met by using a detailed and systematic process to ensure safety, environmental protection, and compliance with regulatory standards. -Initial assessment carried out to understand the current state of the equipment, it’s operational history, and any specific decommissioning requirements.-Detailed plans and procedures drafted, outlining how decommissioning will be carried out, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.-Safety measures: Were enforced, including setting up barriers, issuing safety notices, and ensuring that only authorised personnel are involved in the decommissioning process.-Structural Impediments & impacts on surrounding systems were to be considered & inhibited if required, such as fire & gas systems, deluge systems.-The compressor’s various systems where isolated, depressurised & spaded while minimising disruption to surrounding plant.-Ensured flange break register was updated daily.-Purging: The compressor and associated piping are purged of any residual gases using inert gas to minimise risks of explosion or exposure to hazardous gases.-All compressor ports sealed to prevent ingress of water or airborne items. Care to be taken not to make compressor air-tight during transportation to prevent compressor becoming pressurised.-Cleaning: Internal and external associated equipment to be identified & prepared for backload such as filter housings & spools to remove oil, gas residues, and other contaminants.-All actions documented for accountability & to assist with reinstatement.-Liaised with the construction, maintenance, process & NDT teams during scheduled line walks to assist in the development of progress reports which I submitted daily to management onshore.

-Alignment of plant & pipework, with tolerances to be within 0.02mm.-Carried out water treatment, chemical injection flushing, lube oil flushing of various systems.-Routine change out of various filters, membranes, oils & coolants.

-Shutdown maintenance involved the use of controlled procedures such as purging, flushing & draining of vessels/pipelines.-Ensured LEL readings were at a safe level before isolations could be implemented allowing for maintenance work & valve replacement.

-Removal of redundant plant & pipelines using hydraulic torque/tensioning equipment and oxy-acetylene cutting equipment.

-Directly involved with general mechanical upgrades on the compressors & generators. -Assisted in the removal of redundant crane followed by the installation and testing of replacement crane.-Displayed Millwright, piping & workshop knowledge.

I carried out general maintenance work to plant and pipework.Installed pipelines and realigned various shafts and motors. Dressed pipework for welders and carrying out basic rigging, slinging & fire watching duties.

West Auckland

Installed pressurised water cylinders & air-cooling units to WRAS Regulation Standards. Followed system diagrams and company CNR. I also installed instrument pipe work to stats, gauges, and pressure differential valves with the use of isometric drawings and P&I.D's.

Redcar Blast Furnace

Replaced 2 tonne valve bodies, dressed up flange faces followed by the installation of pipe-work, motors, valves and rollers.

Hartlepool College

With the use of MEWP (mobile, elevating, work, platforms) scissor lifts and cherry pickers I installed mepla pipework. This had to be hydraulically crimped or fused to withstand very high pressures. I also installed large solar panels.
