Strongly versatile with a positive attitude towards learning new skills, and towards new challenges. Strong working practices and ability to work with Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) both in the lab and in field (field bio-control practices, lab containment of INNS, and lab-based feeding experiments). Good laboratory skills and practices for molecular analysis, specifically DNA metabarcoding and NGS (Illumina MiSeq platform). Main work included molecular analysis of trophic interactions in both freshwater and arboreal communities using environmental DNA (eDNA), and DNA extracted from dissected gut contents, and whole specimens.Experienced fieldworker with good ID skills for freshwater benthic macroinvertebrates, and in good sampling practices towards molecular analysis. Good data analysis and bioinformatic analysis, using both R and Python, with some knowledge of object-oriented shell. Able to work proficiently in both Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems, and experience in working on a HPC environment. Strong focus on Open Data and reproducibility of research and analysis (OSF, GitHub). Good knowledge of ArcGIS for production of high quality maps.Good team player and able to work in diversified and dynamic working environment. Strong outdoor awareness, with experience as volunteer for 2 teams of the Lowland Rescue (UK-based Association for Lowland Search and Rescue) with the achieved qualifications of Search Technician and Team Leader.
