As Chief Technical Officer, I supervised and supported the team divisions, leading the design choices of the project. Furthermore, I developed a new concept for the battery pack, using cylindrical cells, and a new bonding technology. I was responsible for the Electrical Safety Form, an official document of more than 100 pages for the race stewards in which all the HV Tractive System’s design choices were justified.I gained more experience in CFD and CHT analysis and my biggest achievement was to gain knowledge about lithium cells and the surrounding technology, especially in the automotive field.I’ve been involved in:-Cells selection through experimental analysis and prototype characterization -Simulated behavior and experimental validation of battery module (thermal and electric)-Analysis of vehicle energy requirements-Design of High Voltage Battery Pack with 720 cylindrical cells in 144s5p connection, with optimized center of gravity, weight and thermal efficiency-Design of all HV components inside and outside the Battery including cable management-Fully integration of Battery and Inverter

As junior member i learnt as much as I could, driven by a passion for motorsport. My focus area was coherent with my studies and my aptitudes. I designed a new cooling system solving overheating problems, introducing new production technology and decreasing the system weight.Besides a general knowledge about classic and new production technology, I gained experience in using powerful softwares, such as CATIA V5 for solid and surface design, Matlab for enhancing data analysis and their manipulation, STAR-CCM+ for fluid dynamics and heat transfer analysis.In particular, I‘ve been involved in:-CFD analysis of new cooling plate for the inverters with several DP optimization attempts, including CHT simulation.-CAD Geometry optimization for Aluminum Selective Laser Melting production -Electric motor cooling jacket optimization through CFD and CHT analysis-CAD Geometry optimization for Nylon SLS production-Coolant radiator performance analytic design-Cooling circuit characteristics analysis and optimization-Water pump selection and pressurization circuit design
