Designing, developing and debugging embedded C firmware for Roam proprietary IoT devices. Working with mobile developers to design BLE IoT applications, in addition to reviewing schematic and hardware designs. Modifying Gerber files for a customizsed Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) used for as an electrode for proximity detection.

- Mainly involved in the European Secure Software defined Radio (ESSOR) project. Responsible for developing C++ Software Communications Architecture (SCA) services (eg. time synchronization, location, SNMP) and FPGA VHDL modules (eg. optimized up/down-converter, extra-FPGA communication, timing), but also team workstations and server maintenance, in charge of porting and maintaining Subversion and then GIT Source Control Management (SCM) tools, and configuring, optimizing and debugging military SDR workstations.- Porting, testing and optimizing an open source vocoder (Codec2) on a Raspberry Pi and a SAAB proprietary SDR platform, performing communication OTA tuning the vocoder in order to get the best trade-off between voice quality and bandwidth usage, analyzing performances in using different combinations of the embedded CPU and/or DSP.- Emulating, testing and debugging of a SAAB proprietary tactical network routing application, test-scenarios involving traffic generation and routers behavior were implemented in Python and run on multiple virtual machines.- Took part in the application of a patent for a technology involving RFID and smartphones.

Feasibility studies and design of a Software Communications Architecture (SCA) compliant power management service for SDRs for military applications. Proof-of-concept design and studies have been based on the Open Source SCA Implementation Embedded (OSSIE) SDR framework and black/red-like secure HW architectures.

Turin, Italy

Implementation of C APIs/library for configuring and capturing images from a car-mounted IR CCD camera used for measurement on roads. Basic communication with the camera was performed via serial port by using a set of recognized commands. Raw pixel matrices were then stored into tagged image file format (TIFF).
