About Marco Bertolini
For the last 25 years, I dedicated myself to training and education.Now I am consultant and a course designer. I design all forms of courses : on site, online (e-learning), blended learning, social learning and micro learning. I help businesses, schools and public institutions define their learning strategies and to become learning companies and institutions. I try to promote an inclusive and collaborative digital learning: a user driven, multichannel digital learning environment.In 2015, I created Spoc en Stock, a French speaking website where you will find some fine designed on line courses. Those courses, although very different in content, have been all created according to the same method : Design Thinking. Design Thinking is a user centered process that allows us to enter the final user's shoe and understand his need, but also feel his fears, his hopes and his understanding of his wants.Design Thinking is also the approach I use when designing training for your employees, your sales persons or your teachers/professors.It is the best way I have found so far to design learning journeys that really match your learners' needs.I am also more and more involved in micro-learning. I am not talking of a particular tool, but as a philosophy of learning and designing learners’ journeys. The information habits of our learners have change. People don’t spend much time reading anymore. They watch videos, they skim information on social media. Their attention span is much lower than it used to be. Therefore, we have to create much smaller learning units, that our students can assimilate in a very short time. Capsules of 3 to 5 minutes, available on your smartphone replace lengthy heavy chunks of knowledge.

CurrentI founded Formation 3.0 because I felt it was time to promote other ways to learn better and faster.I have been using mindmapping and visual methods for a while. And with the development of the Internet and the digital devices, I felt we had a great opportunity to create new, more efficient and less time consuming learning processes.I first designed blended learning workshops for teenagers who had difficulties to cope with today school demands. Then, I moved on : I designed and animated an online mindmapping course for the French MOOC ITyPA3.That gave me the idea to create SPOCs : Small Private Online Courses. Thoses courses are inspired by the methods and philosophy of MOOCs, but are targeting smaller groups. I help them integrating a digital dimension to all learning modes.Today, I invest more and more time and energy in microlearning.
