Born in Texas and raised by Italian parents, Marco Lozzi grew up surrounded by two vastly different cultures. Currently, he is a student at the University of Utah studying communication, journalism, and photography. He currently works at The Daily Utah Chronicle covering everything from protests on campus to scientific research in the Arctic and has contracted for The Salt Lake Tribune documenting Great Salt Lake water usage. He also serves as the VP of the University of Utah Photo Club and is an alumni of the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXVII.In addition to his photojournalism work, Marco loves to document the absent spaces and urban decay of the American West. He has been recognized for his photography work, both in the artistic and documentary fields, receiving awards such as the SPJ Mark of Excellence and being featured in exhibitions like the 'One Shot to Rule Them All' show in SLC. When he's not taking or editing photos, he can be found hitting the slopes, taking a nap, or making pasta.
