Marcos A. Ramos is a Director of Richards, Layton & Finger, P.A., in Wilmington, Delaware, and is Assistant General Counsel to the Firm. Marcos is a litigator and restructuring lawyer in and outside of the Delaware Bankruptcy Court and the Delaware District Court. Marcos also provides strategic and tactical counsel to U.S. and non-U.S. clients in other matters arising under or related to Delaware law, practice, procedure and courts. Marcos is a graduate of Brown University and the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the Michigan Law Review. He is admitted to practice in the States of Delaware, New York, California and Maryland, and he is a registered mediator with the Delaware Bankruptcy Court and the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Within RLF, Marcos is Assistant General Counsel to the Firm, Chair of the Firm’s Diversity Committee and a member of the Firm’s Hiring and Ethics Committees. Outside of RLF, Marcos is active in several professional organizations (such as the ABA and the HNBA) and he formerly chaired the New Castle County Diversity Commission by appointment of the New Castle County Executive.
