I am a final-year Physics student based in Barcelona, with a passion for nuclear and particle physics. Currently, I am interning in the Radiological Protection Service at the ALBA Synchrotron, gaining hands-on experience in radiation physics in a cutting-edge research environment. My journey into physics stems from a lifelong curiosity about the universe and a desire to understand the forces and particles that shape it.In addition to my academic pursuits, I am a photographer with a keen eye for capturing moments and an experienced handball coach and analyst, where I combine strategy, teamwork, and leadership to achieve goals both on and off the field.

  Radiation Protection Intern

  As part of the Radiation Protection team at ALBA Synchrotron, I am gaining hands-on experience in ensuring safety in one of Europe’s leading research facilities. My role involves a combination of technical analysis, regulatory training, and active participation in radiation safety operations.- Radiation Detector Data Analysis: Analyze radiation detector data to ensure safe synchrotron operations, maintaining safety standards for personnel and researchers.- Beamline Commissioning: Contributed to the final steps of the commissioning of the FAXTOR beamline, focusing on radiation protection by monitoring doses and ensuring safe background levels in operational areas.- Regulatory Compliance Training: Participated in a 4-day training on operational safety protocols and compliance requirements for radioactive installations, organized by ALBA for the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council (CSN). This included observing the inspection of the FAXTOR beamline, gaining valuable insights into regulatory practices.- FLUKA Simulation Training: Began training with FLUKA, a Monte Carlo simulation tool for modeling particle interactions to support radiation safety and system optimization.Additionally, I volunteered during ALBA’s Open Day to engage with the public, explaining synchrotron science and conducting interactive demonstrations such as the Lorentz Force experiment. This experience allowed me to share the excitement of cutting-edge research and promote STEM outreach.
