Hello, I am Marc. Engineering is why I wake up in the morning.I've always been a problem solver, I love having a new puzzle to solve, having to figure out everything about the problem, and throwing everything at the wall to find out what solution sticks, and then refining the solution to meet and then hopefully exceed the deliverables. Nothing fills me with more pride than seeing one of my designs come to fruition and then functioning as intended.I believe, engineering is the practice of applied learning. A good engineer is always teaching themselves new things and I have a healthy appetite for new things. I'm an inquisitive person, I want to know the hows and whys of everything, so I'm constantly researching new topics, you never know when there is an application. I'm a fan of the sciences, Physics being chief among them, and across my studies, I've developed an intuitive feel for how things work and more important how things fail.I'm a very driven person, no matter what the challenge is I will find a way. I will easily spend long hours in the night working at a problem, or simply wake up at 4 in the morning with a Eureka and jump into CAD. I apply my knowledge and creativity to find innovative solutions often using geometry to accomplish as many tasks with the fewest active systems. Its this outside the box off, the sheet of paper type of solutions that I pride myself in.I've worked on a variety of projects in my time and gotten to work with some amazing technology and even better people. I know its cliché to say but I think of myself as a team player, I like brainstorming with people to get new perspectives and feedback on projects. I like working with people, and I'll motivate others when they need it, make people laugh, help in any way I can, high morale is key to getting through the long difficult hours. I don't consider myself a leader, the last thing I want to do is to tell people what to do and take away their agency, but I often find others look to me for guidance, and several times I've found myself in charge, so I lead when needed.I want to see man back on the Moon and forward onto Mars. I love the expansive of space, I love science fiction, and I fear for the state of our planet. That's why I'm an Aerospace Engineer, all the greatest innovations happen here, its the cutting edge, and if we will see humankind move into the next century, I believe it is the work we do that will guarantee it.
