I created training documentation for a new Policy Administration System to be used by commercial insurance agents, customer service representatives, and home office underwriters. I wrote three user guides for the different end users based on their job responsibilities. I developed three facilitator guides for training staff to deliver to different groups of internal and external users.

I developed and facilitated training both in the classroom and for eLearning software in the Senior Health Insurance Market. Topics include needs-based sales techniques, prospecting tips, consumer behavior styles and product knowledge.- Facilitated face-to-face classroom training- Built several eLearning courses using various eLearning authoring tools

Marsh is the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor with over 24,000 employees globally and offices in over 75 countries. Marsh is part of the family of Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC).As a Training and Development Specialist, I facilitated Insurance training, including product information, procedural requirements, and system training for new and existing employees through instructor-led classroom sessions employing multiple delivery methods. I developed written curriculum detailing new Property and Casualty Insurance carrier and Life and Health Insurance client products, procedures and system usage. I collaborated with multiple business units to assess training needs and create appropriate solutions. I evaluated participant comprehension using various verbal and written assessments. Accomplishments include:- Training 46 Auto/Home Sales Agents between March 2007 and May 2009. As of June 30, 2009, those agents had generated over 21.5 million dollars in premium.- Collaborating with multiple business units, management and IT to develop and deliver training on a new Integrated Voice Recognition (IVR) system. Trained approximately 200 employees on IVR features and usage.- Partnering with training and development specialists in other offices to develop and deliver training on seven auto/home carriers, including products, procedures and systems for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. - Collaborating with management to transition existing book of Travel-based life and health business from Washington D.C. office to Urbandale office. Trained eight employees to service the products.- Leading Iowa Property and Casualty Insurance Agent Licensing sessions. Of the participants who sat for the test, 80% passed on the first attempt and 95% passed within the first two attempts.

I sold personal lines insurance products as a voluntary benefit to employees of eligible clients. Products included auto, property (home, condo, renter's, dwelling fire), motorcycle, boat, recreational vehicle and umbrella liability insurance. I quote and bound new policies in 4 external carrier systems as well as servicing existing policies. Accomplisments include:- Being named "Most Improved Sales Agent" for the third quarter of 2003 by increasing personal sales by 67%.- Mentoring new agents through job shadowing. Demonstrated system usage, call techniques, product knowledge, customer service skills and provided feedback on calls taken.- Assisting existing agents with product knowledge and system-related questions on a daily basis as a "go-to" agent.- Passing Life, Health and Accident Insurance Agents Licensing Exam.

I assisted customers over the phone with non-standard (high risk) lines of personal insurance. I keyed changes for auto, motorcycle and mobile home policies in multiple states. I answered coverage and billing questions and took credit card payments over the phone. Accomplishments include:- Being cross-trained to service preferred lines of personal insurance including homeowners.- Being cross-trained to take first notice of loss claims calls.- Passing Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Insurance Agent Licensing Exams.

I performed daily store opening and closing duties along with weekly projects efficiently and in a timely manner. I maintained accurate cash drawers and nightly cash deposits. I managed a team of 6-7 employees.

I taught Geometry and Algebra II to high school students. I led 6 classes daily of 28-32 students each. I collaborated with other faculty members to review and revise teaching delivery methods.
