About Marcus Adair

At the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, I am developing On-Demand Fakequakes (ODF), a web application for launching earthquake simulations, aimed at scientific agencies like NASA. This tool, which encompasses a Python-based user interface for configuring simulation parameters, incorporates a parallel workflow to efficiently run parallel workloads on AWS, and is integrated with NSF's National Data Platform for dataset registration/discovery. The development of ODF utilizes a CI/CD pipeline, leveraging Github Actions and AWS services to enhance instance management and workflow automation. As I continue my Master’s studies in Computer Science at the University of Utah, my goal is to further refine my skills in full-stack development and Cloud computing, ultimately contributing to cutting-edge scientific research and development. My expertise lies in full-stack engineering, building automatic and parallel workflows, web and cloud development, and conducting research. Additionally, I am interested in mobile development, DevOps, and expanding my skill set in software engineering.Languages:Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Bash, C#, HTML/CSS, SQLTools & Frameworks:Angular, Plotly Dash, React, .NET, Docker, Singularity, Git, AWS Skills:Full Stack Development, Web Development, Cloud Computing, Parallel Workflows, CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, REST APIsA few of my hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, and music production.https://github.com/Marcus-Adair
