After beginning a career as a musician I subsequently realised that as well as having a passion for creative endeavours I also had an enthusiasm and aptitude for more quantitative areas. This was a process that came about after reading various books (mostly about data driven approaches to the fields finance and economics). I subsequently embarked on an undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics for which I received a first. Following this my passion for data and analytics was my only focus and I completed a MSc in Economics at Queen Mary University of London, supplementing this with a term long course in Financial Trading so as to stay equally versed in both fields. For the last two years I have worked for Metric as a member of their trading team, duties have included live risk management, content management, autonomous odds compiling using a variety of methods including creation of simulations in python/vba. In June of 2024 I moved from the Trading department into a role in the QA team.
