After I moved from Leeds to Hazel Grove, I went to work for McColl's I was a supervisor of a one-man shop, my daily duties included either opening or closing the shop, doing paper rounds scanning in missing products and daily deliveries. I found this a very good experience for my responsibilities as I was the only person there that could sort and solve any issues that I had, as well as interacting with regular customers, getting to know them and making them feel welcome. I was in charge of opening the shop, setting tills, making sure paper rounds were done ready for collection, cashing up cleaning and restocking ready for trade the next day. I expanded on what I learnt from Card Factory which helped a lot, and now I am very confident that I will be an asset to any work place that I'm in, in the future.

I started working for Card Factory as a key holder/supervisor; I was working there 3 weeks and was made temporary assistant manager due to the assistant manager being on leave, my roles while working there was to deal with customers, help them find what they needed and make sure they had a good experience while shopping at CF, other duties were to run the shop on the managers days off, oversee staff and general running of the shop, making sure the shop floor was full of product, banking, and closing the shop, it was very good experience to be in a manager roll and get some insight on running a shop, it has made me more confidant and has helped boost my customer service abilities, and I hope to put everything I learned into good practice in my next job.
