I did this via preaching/presenting, leading training and giving advice to equip churches and para-church organisation to engage people with sight loss.SLFC was launched in April 2019 and was a “work in progress” when I arrived. My brief was to use my sales/evangelism experience with a church leadership mindset to clarify the process of signing up and serving local churches that took up the challenge. I worked on a freelance basis to develop new business and existing accounts in the Midlands and the North for a British stainless-steel fabricator who specialised in surface drainage. This work included developing relationships with architects and construction companies. Much of the work was focused on trade shows and networking events to increase the company’s profile.

Responsible for all aspects of church life, including running services, preaching, teaching, pastoral care, compliances, managing a Grade II listed building, motivating and managing teams of volunteers, overseeing GDPR and Safeguarding systems & Policies.Achievements: launched a Romanian speaking congregation. Launched Trussell Trust Foodbank in the London Borough of Merton, (one of the first 100 in the UK). I recruited and trained volunteers, built relationships with local government, education & charities to enable the project to develop and grow.

Helped establish then formally co-lead a network of churches in the London Borough of Merton, working for social justice, providing job clubs, winter night shelters, food banks, financial advocacy, crisis pregnancy support and Street Pastors.

Responsible for all aspects of church life, including running services, preaching and teaching, pastoral care, managing several building projects, motivating and managing teams of volunteers for the church and Wimbledon Foodbank. Other achievements: Moved the church from a small building to a re-developed factory unit which involved sourcing the building and then overseeing a £1.5 million building project.

Responsible for managing and developing existing customers for a regional firm and developing new business. A broad range of clients from Universities to M&E contractors and private homes. The role included design and specification of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms.Achievements: Significant increase in business particularly from universities, won the maintenance contract for the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre and consistently achieved above sales targets.
