Duties Include: • Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting a range of Data Warehouse processes, including SSIS packages, SQL Server Agent jobs and SSAS related stored procedures using MDX. • Represent the Trust to third party data providing organizations, including communication and general co-operation in upgrades and issue resolving. • Expected to create and maintain reports through the use of SSRS, subject to user requirements. • Answer the telephone, deal with queries relevant to the service and/or take accurate messages, record details and pass on to the appropriate team/individual in a timely manner. • Through the use of SharePoint 2010 & SharePoint designer 2010, Responsible for administrating and maintaining the security structure of a Trust-wide SharePoint site with over 800 users, integrated with Active Directory. Also expected to maintain trust wide reports, deal with any issues that arise and taken on any development involving but not limited to SharePoint. • To respond to enquiries, providing both written and verbal information, directing queries to other departments/agencies as appropriate, referring complex communications to other colleagues when necessary.• To design, test and implement new ETL processes as part of a larger Data Migration scheme using T-SQL, SSIS and SQL Server Agent Jobs. • Responsible for being the first point of contact for development issues regarding a range of specific datasets.

Job Description – General Duties• Responsible for running and monitoring the progress of a range of Data Warehouse processes.• Perform data quality checks and corrections, and creation of data quality reports, escalating concerns as required. • Monitor data warehouse performance, checking that backups and re-indexing have run successfully and sufficient disk space levels remain, escalating concerns to the Database Administrator as required. • Develop skills in writing SQL Scripts through practical application.• Answer the telephone, deal with queries relevant to the service and/or take accurate messages, record details and pass on to the appropriate team/individual in a timely manner. • Develop web pages on the Trust intranet site or departmental web based document management solution and updating content on these pages as need requires. • To respond to enquiries, providing both written and verbal information, directing queries to other departments/agencies as appropriate, referring complex communications to other colleagues when necessary.
