Driven and energetic BSc Economics student with a well-developed foundation in quantitative analysis, strategic consideration, and problem-solving. I am deeply motivated to use the skills I learn to translate economic theory into solutions that drive business success. Currently, I am looking forward to partaking in a Summer Internship in which I can develop analytical, communication and strategic skills. Alongside my course, I lead student drop-in help classes for first years who may be struggling with course material. I was delegated this role by the Department of Economics at the University of Bristol due to being a top performer in my first year. It's an environment in which I encourage individual and group brainstorming to find solutions to issues they may have: I provide additional support in my knowledge of the module of Economics when required.Having worked in customer service roles for the past 3 years, originally in a local, vibrant restaurant, and currently in the Co Operative Group, I have developed an understanding for the importance of relationships developed between customers and businesses. The hospitality and retail industries have provided me with a hands-on attitude, and opportunities to display and improve upon my critical thinking and ability to learn quickly.Outside of work, I have enrolled in 2 AmplifyMe Trading Floor Simulations through my membership of the Bristol Trading Society: Financial Accelerator and Investment Bank Global Markets. These have built upon my communication and strategic analysis in fast-paced situations. I excelled in both simulations, placing high among the top participants. In addition, upon recently completing the Forage HSBC Commercial Banking Job Simulation, I gained appreciation for strategy risk analysis, and contrasting business structures to which I had to adapt. My submission gained attention and appraisal from the student success team at Forage for its quality.
