Responsible for providing legal counsel regarding government affairs and public policy for the Texas and Florida regions, including issue identification and advocacy on Insurance related legislative bills and regulations. Drafted intake forms for relevant company business areas on all pertinent insurance laws and regulations enacted in 2017, lobbied legislators and staff on key insurance bills during the 2017 legislative session and worked with departments of insurance on regulations impacting the insurance industry.

Responsible for managing compliance/risk management of select business areas within the Insurance Operations Law Division including: Claims Subrogation, Compliance, Independent Agencies, lead state attorney for the Southwest region, Privacy, Errors and Omissions. Advise business areas on legal risk and compliance.
