As Head of Pre-Development I am responsible for the innovation activities of E.G.O. Business Unit Induction Cooking. With a team of 7 people we work on great projects to bring the delight of cooking with induction to the next level and booster the business of our organisation beyond the standard product development activities. We foster new use cases and check for latest technological development to keep one step ahead.

I am Product Owner and Project Manager with a passion for leading interdisciplinary projects in Innovation&Technologies department. Currently, I excel in my role, overseeing the agile team responsible for projects on innovations for cooktops and baking ovens. My expertise lies in evaluating and building comprehensive go-to-market plans, based on solid market research, and value propositions design for B2B customers and end-users. Additionally, I handle technology research, ensuring technical feasibility, calculating profitability of the innovation, and safeguarding intellectual property. A significant milestone in this position was the market entry of "Cooking Support Functions", marking an important step as software-based innovation for our organization.

As a Team Leader I/R&D Systems Cooking at E.G.O., I spearhead the department System Development Cooking, ensuring seamless integration of our components into cooking systems and creating high-quality appliances for our B2B customers. We take care for well-defined interfaces (mechanical, electrical, protocol) and rigorous testing to meet customer needs. A key focus is optimizing cooking appliance interactions with users, pots, and food for an enhanced culinary experience. After completing my Master's degree from the Mobile University, I assumed this role, successfully building a team of 8 employees and implementing effective requirement and test management processes.

In 2012 I searched for a new challenge in avanced functionalities for baking ovens. My first project for this application was the development of a gas thermostat. Later I took the lead of the technology project on Solid State Microwave Cooking. This is a technology to create microwaves with an electronic circuitry, instead of a bulky magnetron, giving the possibility of gentle and fast cooking resulting in enhanced culinary experience. An important step in technology development was the foundation of RF Energy Alliance, were I served as member of the Board of Directors. (RF Energy Alliance merged to "Solid State RF Energy Section" within IMPI in 2019)

Starting my career as a mechanical engineer in "application development department" I gathered first experiences in designing cooktops powered by induction and gas. My responsibilities encompassed developing parts and assemblies for plastic injection molding, sheet metal, milling, and turning parts. I also took charge of defining electrical wiring and gas piping. Notably, I played an important role in supporting the rollout and customer sampling of the E.G.O. E-gas system. Beyond my core duties, I seized the opportunity to revolutionize cooktop user interfaces by introducing vibrant white LED displays through a patented method and replacing conventional red displays.

As a passionate Mechanical Engineering student in the dual education system at DHBW, I immersed myself in a unique learning journey. Balancing practical work at a prominent company and academic education honed my skills and understanding of the field. Throughout my studies, I actively engaged in diverse projects across various departments, gaining valuable insights into the multifaceted roles of a mechanical engineer. Notably, I contributed to research on steam cooking in baking ovens and successfully designed an automated assembly unit for switches during my bachelor's thesis. My international exposure in E.G.O. Shanghai, integrating new induction coil types into production lines, added a global dimension to my expertise.
