Current• Assessing community needs and executing on the bank’s strategy to build strong communities ensuring alignment with the community and economic development priorities • Leading the development and implementation of the banks Community Reinvestment Act/ Community and Economic Development strategies at the region level within assigned assessment areas • Developing and maintaining relationships with key community partners and nonprofit organizations as well internal region and Bancorp leaders and partners in marketing and communications, corporate social responsibility, government relations, business resource groups and the Fifth Third Foundation• Managing the regional charitable contributions budget and local giving council to ensure charitable investments align with the bank’s strategic priorities • Identifying and evaluating community and economic development partnerships and impact of the banks philanthropic investments and nonprofit sponsorships• Fostering and maintaining a strategic network of West Michigan and statewide community development intermediaries, non-profit and for- profit entities • Collaborating with other region Community and Economic Development Managers on risk/compliance matters, best practices, and strategic partnerships throughout bank footprint • Representing the bank as a leader in the community as well as projecting a positive image by serving on various boards/ committees and taskforces that support low to moderate income communities and attending community development events• Analyzing Community Reinvestment Act performance and market data as well as preparing qualitative and quantitative assessments to effectively communicate results to varying levels within the bank
