I have built MKA Ecology into a leading ornithological and protected species consultancy, undertaking EIA work and assessments on birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. I have a wide range of international expertise and over thirty years' professional experience in ecological consultancy and EIA projects. I am member of the Professional Standards committee of CIEEM.I am a multi-disciplined ecologist with a wide range of extensive ornithological and ecological experience. I have held a range of badger sett exclusion licences and undertaken extensive water vole, bat and badger mitigation. I have a great deal of reptile experience including very large-scale translocations and mitigation programmes. I have also undertaken extensive GCN and amphibian surveys and mitigation and overseen EPS licences for bats, GCN and smooth snake.I lead wildlife tours annually in ornithology and natural history, which have been undertaken within the following countries: Australia, Borneo, Cyprus, Jordan, Lesbos, Madagascar, Morocco, Nepal, Peru and Rwanda, and have undertaken Environmental Assessment projects in Borneo (Sarawak), Spain and Thailand.

• Overall management of the UNDP-GEF Migratory Soaring Birds project for the Red Sea/Rift Valley Flyway • Working with energy, agricultural, waste management and tourism industries and hunting communities to help protect migrating large birds across their flyway and bottleneck sites.• Managing future global and multi-regional flyway projects • Oversee the development and implementation of the British Birdwatching Fair Flyways Programme (2011-2014), ensuring close integration with and support to work lead by the BirdLife Regional Divisions in Africa (2012), Asia (2013) and Americas (2014).

Supervising ecological work on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. Main role was to supervise and advise upon protected species work being undertaken by the consultancy; producing generic reports on current best practice for conservation of dormice and badgers.
