Currently Deputy Head of History, Politics and Philosophy at Manchester Metropolitan University, I am an experienced educational leader and manager, having also led the Foundation programme for the faculty and History undergraduate programme, and university lecturer. I am also also an experienced researcher, specialising in the history of modern Britain and the socialist and labour movements, and Labour Party in particular.
