Oversees material handling operation for global health care leader with a diversified portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines and consumer health products, as well as animal health products. Manage and troubleshoots material flow for production process, using GMP and aceptic techniques. Coach, develop, and train staff on operational procedures to foster growth and stability throughout team. • Arranges movement of freight by various transportation methods, including air, Ocean, Ground, and Rail on behalf of exporters and importers for DHL's import, export, trans-border and domestic product lines. • Process Full container (FCL) and Less than container (LCL) load ocean freight shipments for export internationally. Coordinate drayage of containers and freight loads to ports for loading. Process bill of ladings and update shipment information for steamship lines (i.e. ITN numbers, weights, volume). Negotiate rates for ocean moves and truck drayage. Audit masterbill (MBL) for accurate information prior to sailing. Arrange legalization and chamber of commerce attesting for documents to accompany air freight shipments to entities in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Egypt. • Review shipper’s declaration of dangerous for accuracy and compliance of IATA regulations. • Coordinate time sensitive material for such companies as Mantech, Dyncorp, Boeing, Emirates Airlines, Honeywell, Kidde Aerospace, and US Embassies. • Ensure proper transport of shipments requiring white-gloved services (i.e. pharmaceuticals, specimens, software) for companies such as Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Biomeriuex, and Lenovo.
