Responsible for all aspects of project management related to spill response, remediation, and environmental site investigations for insurance industry clients, including:• Utilise strong interpersonal skills to build client relationships and manage expectations. Lead routine meetings with key clients, providing project milestone updates, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the client’s satisfaction; • Apply keen commercial awareness to financial management, including estimates and invoicing, budgeting and procurement, and review of subcontractor and supplier financials. Routinely in the top three of the company for billable time;• Project fieldwork including the design, oversight and implementation of: initial emergency response; utilisation of the full suite of industry-standard techniques for intrusive phase I and II environmental site assessments, environmental monitoring and validations; and the design, evaluation and implementation of a range of remediation methodologies in a variety of environments;• Production of high-quality technical reports involving the interpretation and presentation of complex laboratory datasets and field screening/monitoring data, the completion of quantitative and qualitative environmental risk assessments, and the production of conceptual site models;• Supervision of junior staff and subcontractors including review of final deliverables, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and technical procedures, and mentorship/development; and• Business development support to the Regional Manager including identifying potential growth opportunities and client relationships for the business.

Complete project management at a nationwide environmental consultancy, including; design, oversight and implementation of site works (including emergency spill response, phase I – III environmental site assessments and remediation); stakeholder liaison; preparation of site investigation reports (including interpretation of laboratory datasets); site-based subcontractor management; financial management (estimates, invoices, budgeting and procurement); and management of all aspects of health and safety. This was a client-facing, remote-working position with minimal supervision from line management. Notable successes include winning 'preferred contractor' status for a nationwide insurance provider.

Conducted offshore environmental and ecological surveys for a number of clients in the oil & gas, renewables and aggregates industries worldwide; these were often in challenging locations, including the Arctic, Middle East and West Africa, with limited or zero supervision or operational support. Responsible as either the team lead or individual scientist for: the planning and implementation of the environmental site survey strategy, acquisition of environmental datasets, equipment operation and maintenance, and sample demobilization. Entailed a significant element of client focus, including working directly with the client, and stakeholder presentations. Business development support included representing the business at an international conference.Onshore duties primarily involved environmental technical report writing, including post-decommissioning and contaminant monitoring assessments, desktop studies and environmental baseline investigations. This required the analysis and interpretation of complex laboratory datasets. Secondary responsibilities included compiling training materials for training new personnel, as well as keeping environmental legislation and reference documentation up to date.
