As the manager of the mechanical engineering department at Paragon, I'm responsible for scheduling, managing, organizing, and supervising all engineering activities within the mechanical engineering department while supporting its growth in order to meet the needs of the nuclear industry.Qualification Highlights:• Proficient in ASME, ASTM, ANSI, IEEE, API, NEMA, ISO, and CSA codes and standards. • Project management including budget, schedule, procurement, technical direction, and vendor/client interface.• Design, fabrication, and testing of power piping components per the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code including ASME Section III, ASME Section V, ASME Section VIII, ASME Section IX, and ASME Section XI.• Non-destructive examination (NDE) including LP, UT, RT, and positive material identification (PMI) via x-ray fluorescence or infrared spectroscopy. • Destructive testing including burst proof testing, intergranular corrosion testing, and positive material identification (PMI) via optical emission spectroscopy.• Seismic and environmental qualification of nuclear safety related equipment by analysis and testing per IEEE 344 and IEEE 323.• Commercial grade dedication of nuclear safety related equipment per EPRI NP-5652 and EPRI 3002002982.• CRN design registration of nuclear pressure retaining components in accordance with CSA B51 for use in the Canadian Provinces of Ontario and New Brunswick.• Nuclear regulatory compliance with 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CRF21, ASME NQA-1, and ANSI N45.2.• Proficient in ANSYS, Solidworks, Pro-E, and MATLAB• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt with experience using the Continuous Improvement Process and Kaizen methodologies.
