I am the founder and head fitness trainer at Fit For Trips.  We provide tour operators with fitness outsourcing services.  I interact with both tour operator clients as well as internally with all the departments that need training advice, messaging, content, etc. that can be leveraged for more bookings, referrals and to positively influence testimonials.For The TravelerOne of the primary services I provide travelers - on behalf of the tour operator - are training consultations with booked clients.  The concerns and questions travelers have with regard to training are often very complex.  They might not always seem to be but, using 30 years of experience I can skillfully determine all training deficiencies - if any - and provide solutions. This process replaces anxiety with feelings of self assurance and positivity throughout the pre-departure process.My goal is to be sure a traveler experiences their itinerary exactly the way the tour operator intended.   As in the case of #3: I craft custom training programs for hikers, backpackers, trekkers, skiers, paddlers and more. For The Tour OperatorWhen I am not talking with a tour operator's client, I am collaborating with the internal departments of the tour operator.  Authentic, up-to-date and accurate training knowledge can be leveraged by all departments.Two common scenarios arise when I consult with the Tour Operator.1 - The client services team requests the creation of a document to be included in the pre-departure packet that provides training tips for physical and mental trip preparation.2 - The marketing team partners requests collaboration on an advertisement that sells an itinerary with training program included.Fit For Trips provides tour operators with a Destination Training Department located remotely from a suburb north of Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Every day when I am not crafting Fit For Trips fitness programs I am field testing exercises and workout strategies. Working with clients online requires a high level of competency and edge that can be lost if you don't work with clients in person. This helps me determine the most effective training strategies as well as it helps me retain a certain level of empathy needed when motivating clients from afar.Additionally I do see clients in person for other goals such as improving body composition, enhancing conditioning for sport, and to provide corrective exercise strategies for clients with limited motion, strength issues and asymmetries in both.An important screening that I administer with clients is the Functional Movement Screen. I can determine where a client has asymmetries regarding strength and movement patterns. These issues usually lead to chronic problems in the joints and connective tissues. Administering this test to athletes and non-athletes helps me determine additional exercises to incorporate in the the regimen as well as which ones to omit to diminish injury risk.
