Reporting to the Managing Director has responsibility for Information Technology at the firm. As Chair of the Development Steering Committee provides high level reporting as to the progress of the in-house development team and outsourced development. Has participated in HM Land Registry's focus groups as part of their strategy to create an e-Conveyancing process and has encouraged early adoption of the web service integration with HMLR systems. Works closely with end users to ensure delivery of applications that meet their requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesWriting User Stories and Use Cases.Identifying opportunities for development.Writing business cases.Setting milestones and key deliverables as part of an iterative process.Ensuring the timely completion of projects and managing the expectations of business stakeholders as to delivery.Liaising with third party suppliers for outsourced development projects.Identifying, assessing and mitigating risk within projects.Key projects: The creation of a development environment.Re-engineering the client inception process by developing a browser based UI for the users to clean the data which produced a 20 minute productivity gain per file opened.Implementing a scanning solution that allowed the firm to roll out a paperless process that has enabled the creation of remote offices and driven efficiencies across the business.Participation in HM Land Registry's Business Gateway pilot which led to Conveyancing Direct to be the first firm to successfully to submit an electronic mortgage deed via the Gateway giving the company a competitive edge in the market place.Creating a panel management application that integrated with third party web services, automatically allocating and distributing new instructions and providing KPI reporting..

Managing a conveyancing case load was responsible for the legal work for sale and purchase transactions. Excellent organisational and communication skills were required to ensure customer satisfaction. An ability to read and understand complex documentation and arguments were key to successfully performing in the role. A detailed knowledge of the relevant law, best practice and regulatory compliance were essential. A demanding role which required maintaining a level head and managing multiple demands upon your attention.Was a key member of the Project Team that liaised with the software vendor when the firm changed Case Management Systems.Handled complex transactions such as Leasehold and Unregistered matters.
