Simply put, I love stone masonry. One of the reasons I started in the industry is the thought that restoration and strengthening jobs around New Zealand aren’t being completed to the high standard they should be.Working on buildings that are often hundreds of years over a hundred years old is a true privilege, and I’ve enjoyed helping to ensure that our local history and heritage can be seen by future generations. At Wainwrights, our range of work ranges stretches from restoring historic structures pieces, to installing new or more modern solutions pieces. In fact, we are even able to incorporate mix any existing structures that you want to keep with your planned new developments – and strengthened to delight the next generation.In the end, you’re left with masonry that looks exactly how you dreamt it! What I find most satisfying in my work is when I complete work that other masons wrote off as being ‘too difficult’. The work we recently concluded at the Dunedin Train Station and the Blackball Mine Shaft Chimney are prime examples of what we can do for you, our valued clients.
