In February 2009 Contract People Limited secured the Diageo contract for the dispensing of draught beer, with the Transfer of Undertakings securing continuation of work.

To manage the team of Service Representatives to ensure that their work is carried out effectively and to the standards laid down in the Key Process Indicators.Monitor the work standards of the team members through regular surveys of dispense conditions and take corrective action as required.Manage the activities of the team members to ensure adequate cover for all regions at all times. This is to be done together with the Dispense Manager.Merchandising of the Guinness Draught Brand Portfolio in the On-TradeTeam meetings to ensure we meet the objectives set for the following month.Coaching in trade with each team member on a bi-monthly cycleWorking with under performing staff to ensure that the highest standards are achieved.

The Company secured another three year contract with Diageo, where I was promoted to the position of Regional Manager covering the North West and part of the Midlands Region. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management - ensure the various projects are managed, monitored, information gathered and reported back.Communication of Key Tasks - News, Company Policies and Procedures, Praise and Blame etcEmergency Calls - monitor the team and ensure that all team members do not exceed a target based on the monthly average for the region.Reps paperwork and backreporting - monitor the quality and ensure that it is kept to the standard such that telephone intervention is not required.In Trade accompaniment - 3 days in trade per rep per year. Monitor the work standards of the team members through regular surveys of outlets and take corrective action as required.SR activities - monitor and ensure it is up to date or know the reason why.Implement policies and procedures in regard to work practices and Health and Safety.Appraisals - to be done once per year. Liase with regional quality staff.Weekly report to General Manager on activities that week.

The company secured a new Guinness Contract in 2002 and I was offered the dual responsibility of Stores/Field Manager, which I accepted in order to broaden my management experience. These extra duties, which are in conjunction with my Service Manager's responsibilities included:DutiesMember of the management team with input to policy decisions in regard to the running of the business, with specialisation in the HR area - Recruitment, Training and AppraisalsOverall responsibility for 2 Service Representitives, 8 Dispense Representitives and 3 Storepersons.Overall responsibility for management of stock;Manage staff in the stores,Liase with Field Managers and staff to ensure proper processes are adhered to in regard to stock movement and supply in relation to workload.To ensure that stock levels are optimised in order to meet demand with the minimum stock holding.Ensure timely delivery to all (internal) customers.Ensure timely reordering to maintain required stock levels without overstocking.Maintain the stock control system, using Diageo's SAP and Siebel computer system.

Planned and organised monthly targeted installation for Guinness refrigerated systems . This was carried out in liaison with Guinness Technical Representative Staff.Planned and organised on a weekly basis, the installations of cold rooms, coffin systems and secondary cooling systems for Extra Cold Guinness, Budweiser, Carlsberg and Cider.Liase with BOC in regard to new installations and Emergency calls.
